Our family has been caring for Gran-Val Farm since 1903! OUR ANIMALS Llamas, sheep, goats, geese, chickens, alpacas, bunnies and one very friendly turkey!
OUR ICE CREAM So many yummy flavors to choose from! You can even take some home for later!

Our farm was born in 1903 when Curtis & Bertha Hunt purchased 50 acres & a humble farm house to raise enough food to provide for their family. That same fall, their second son Francis “Stub” Hunt was born in the farm house. Stub would go on to expand the family farm; first as a young boy peddling chestnuts, blueberries & animal pelts and later by purchasing about 50 more acres of land & starting a herd of dairy cows. He & his wife, Lodema “Dolly” Hunt, peddled milk to the Granville, West Granville & Tolland communities in their model “A” Ford under the name Green Valley Farm. You can see their original glass milk bottles displayed in the Scoop.
